RECOGNIZING SIMILARITIES
Recognizing
Similarities or recognize a similarity in a sentence, is used to express
something in common, which can be expressed by using word/ pattern: The same as / Like, The same + as + Noun and Adjective + As +
As.Contoh:

My laptop is like yours.
Andi’s laptop is the same type as
mine.

NB: Sometimes the pattern is used AS...... AS well as many / much +

Similarity:
'like' and 'as'
The preposition ‘like’ introduces a noun or noun
phrase or a pronoun. Example: Like most students, I love pizzas. I wish I
had a garden like that. The conjunction ‘as’ introduces a clause. Example: Some
women felt as I did about it. Note. ‘As’ is also used in front of a noun
indicating a title, or role. Example: He worked as a taxi driver. I am the
